Eine Szene aus einer Bollywood-Produktion sowie indische und pakistanische Chai-Werbung – alle neu synchronisiert – und jetzt endlich komisch.
Gezeigt werden die Filme im originalen analogen Super-8- und 16-mm-Format – mit dem besonderen Charme des analogen Films.
Dazwischen entsteht ein Abend zwischen Film, Erzählung und Musik – lebendig, verspielt und voller überraschender Perspektiven auf ein Getränk, das weltweit Kulturen verbindet.

In Thommi’s Tea-Flimmertasse, curious and rare film fragments from the world of tea come together: historical footage from Indian tea plantations, old advertising films, scenes from Bollywood productions, classic television moments and other cinematic curiosities – all newly and humorously dubbed, creating completely new, surprising and often absurd meanings.
The films are shown in their original analog Super 8 and 16 mm format – with the special charm of analog cinema.
Between these fragments unfolds an evening that moves between film, storytelling and music – playful, lively and full of unexpected perspectives on a beverage that connects cultures around the world.
