All of Europe drinks coffee. All of Europe? No! In the poetic province of tea enjoyment, East Frisia stands strong – quietly but proudly – with the highest per capita tea consumption in the
world.
Here, tea is more than a drink. It’s a ritual. With a rock sugar crystal ("Kluntje"), a floating cloud of cream, and a lot of heart. A ceremony more romantic than the British ever imagined – who,
by the way, no longer hold the tea-drinking crown.
Tea entertainer Thommi Baake takes the audience on a journey through this unique tea culture with charm, warmth and in-depth knowledge. In addition to tea and biscuits, there are stories, humour
and heartfelt insights in abundance. A delicious homage to the gentle rebellion of the East Frisians.
